Enthusiasts can rejoice, because we’re finally getting the 2020 Audi RS 6 Avant next year. The latest generation of Audi’s super wagon packs 591 hp, making it a good match for the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S wagon. But is its design an improvement over its predecessor? Unlike previous models, the latest Audi RS 6 Avant is easy to distinguish from a standard A6 thanks to its massive blacked-out grille and lower front fascia openings. The lack of chrome adds to the 2020 RS 6’s aggression, especially when paired with the angular headlights.

It puts power down via a sport-tuned eight-speed automatic transmission and a rear-biased Quattro all-wheel-drive system that spits power 40/60 front to rear via a mechanical center differential. If you pick the optional carbon ceramic brakes, the RS 6 Avant’s overall curb weight is reduced by 75 pounds. A height-adjustable air suspension come standard and you can also opt for an RS sport suspension. Rear-wheel steering is available if you opt for the Dynamic or Dynamic Plus packages. Audi claims that the 2020 RS 6 Avant can hit 60 mph in under 3.6 seconds on the way to a top speed of 190 mph.
