Yesterday, Ford teased its next big project—the Mustang-inspired EV crossover that will reportedly be called Mach 1 or Mach E—and this time the automaker set a date for its reveal. On November 17, Ford’s new EV will finally be unveiled, but we don’t have to wait that long to get a better idea of what the new Mach 1 will look like.

Thanks to AllCarNews on Facebook, the internet got a sneak peek at some computer aided design (CAD) renderings of what looks to be the new electric SUV. The CAD renderings reflect the shapes we saw in yesterday’s teaser, with the swooping roofline, Mustang-inspired tri-bar taillights, and distinct ‘Stang-like rear haunches all present and correct. So the swoopy exterior teased on social media yesterday seems to be all but confirmed. We won’t be able to suss out all the new car’s details for a while, but it looks like the design is truly Mustang-inspired after all. AllCarNews produced a series of renderings based on the CAD drawings that you can check out below.

Whatever Ford ends up calling it, the new EV will be the first fully electric car the Blue Oval will sell in the U.S., but it’s just the start of major EV plans for Ford. Ford recently forged partnerships with both Volkswagen and Rivan to help kick-start its EV onslaught. The Dearborn-based automaker plans to sell some 600,000 EVs in Europe over the next six years and will use Rivian’s skateboard architecture for a full-fledged EV SUV or an electric pickup.

Thanks to AllCarNews for the imagery.
