If you think your car’s interior is dirty, then have a look at the insides of this old Hyundai Elantra. The cabin of this compact sedan is so disgusting, in fact, that YouTube user Stauffer Garage describes it as “the nastiest car ever.”
While we’re sure there are nastier cars out there, we won’t deny that this little Hyundai’s cabin has seen better days. Much better days. But there’s no challenge too difficult for Stauffer Garage, and the Ohio-based car-cleaning connoisseur quickly gets to work removing years worth of food, grime, and grease from the seats, carpets, dash, and door panels. The process to do so, however, is arduous and time-consuming. The net result, though, is worth it. Not just for the owners of the vehicle (who, predictably, are overjoyed with the work done to their car), but for us viewers, too.
The joy of watching this car’s interior go from nasty to nice is twofold. For one, there’s something surprisingly soothing about seeing years of dirt getting scrubbed away in a matter of (time-edited) minutes. More important, though, there’s an innate sense of hope that comes with watching this video to its conclusion: If this Hyundai’s gross interior is salvageable, then surely our cars’ not-quite factory-fresh interiors have a second shot at life, as well.
